Grip
How independent is too independent?I think independence can be good and bad. Is there a point in life, where self-sufficiency becomes overpowering. Where we ignore our humanness and consider ourselves soverign. Our hand grips life's controller, and there we are, claiming our independence.
I know I am guilty of this, pretty much on a daily basis. Daily having to release my grip.
It does become pretty easy to serve ourselves when we have such a self-sufficient mind. Doing whatever we want because...let's face it...we can.
Why is it that I think I know what is best for me? Why do I keep such a tight hold?
I pray for God's constant grip on my life, and my heart, to take the lead.
Independent-ok. Self-sufficient-probably not.
